Current Morrill Scholars
| Brima Bah Major: Operations Management Cincinnati, Ohio I chose The Ohio State University because it offered me what I was interested in. Ohio State provides a diverse population and it is also highly recognized for its academic excellence. Another reason why I chose to attend The Ohio State University is because it assists minority students with scholarships like the Morrill Scholars Program and support services through the Office of Minority Affairs. |

Major: Economics and Finance Lorain, Ohio When I first started to think about which colleges I would consider attending after high school, Ohio State University was not on my list. Anyone could list the facts printed in pamphlets that prospective students receive, but Ohio State is much more than just a school with a lot of majors and minors and esteemed professors. All of the rankings and such high claims are not what brought me to the decision that made me attend OSU. My reasoning could be summed up in one powerful word that describes this university perfectly... passion. There isn't a place you can go without finding another Ohio State fan that is just as happy as you are that you can say proudly, "I am a Buckeye." The most amazing experience to date that I've had is being in the football stadium filled with over one hundred thousand people yelling O-H-I-O all around me. All that is left to say is that you will never understand until you take the time to step foot on campus and let the great members of The Ohio State University change your life forever.

| Brandon Smith Major: Marketing Atlanta, Georgia I came to Ohio State for a number of reasons. Among them was to break away from the monotony of home. Most of my friends were going to the same colleges, so going to a college in Georgia would have been a continuation of high school. I ultimately wanted to start a new life for myself; new friends, new place, new everything. Sometimes you need a change and Ohio State was the change that was needed in my life. Along with these things, I wanted to go somewhere that I could get the best of both worlds, which would include academics and extracurricular activities. There’s never a dull day here. So far, I’ve received exactly what I’ve wanted from OSU and many opportunities continue to be available to me.
