Administration/Special Programs

OMA offers a recruitment program at the graduate and professional levels in collaboration with The Graduate School, Professional Colleges, and certain student organizations. An annual event since 1971, "GPSVD" collaborates with a long list of institutions that have consistently seen their graduates receive post-baccalaureate degrees at The Ohio State University. This arm of OMA is also responsible for selected publications, and administers other programs and events: The national conference on diversity, and the OMA/Links Columbus Chapter Prelude Scholars Program - both in May, The McNair Scholars Visit in August, The Graduate & Professional Student Orientation & Reception in September, and The Faculty/Staff Colloquy in November. Further explanation and notes on other programs follow:

Over 2,000 minority honor students have been reciprients of fellowship awards through The Graduate School, and scores have held graduate positions; while many others have received funding opportunities in the Professional Colleges since 1971 - all in support of degree completion.
